ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Candidate is a process safety management expert responsible for working with the Technology teams to include the requirements of OSHA 1910.119 Process Safety Management, into the design of the Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) power plant. Candidate will benchmark with other businesses to identify industry best practices and work with GE Energy Product Safety Engineering team to implement an integrated product safety and process safety analysis process.

The candidate will be a resource on all requisition and product development programs to provide guidance in the area of process safety. Candidate will ensure proper implementation of all safety related lessons learned into Gasification Design Practices.

Candidate will develop and implement written operating procedure that provide clear instructions for safety conducting activities involved in each covered process consistent with the process safety information.

This leadership position will ensure consistent process safety management programs are identified and defined where applicable to IGCC power plants.
