The ISP Texas City Plant has immediate openings for a PSM Professional. Relocation packages are available.

The ISP Texas City Plant has strong safety culture and PSM programs with very strong support from senior plant management AND corporate management. Hourly employees are an integral part of the safety process and successful candidates will be able to demonstrate accomplishments in working with Operators and Maintenance Craftsmen. Experience in an operating chemical plant or refinery is a plus.

ISP is an industry leader in PSM. At the plant level state of the art risk assessment methodologies are used to ensure the safety of employees. At the corporate level ISP operates a world class process safety lab for analyzing products and raw materials for everything from self-heating characteristics and dust explosivity to modeling runaway reactions.

The facility has approximately 170 employees and consists of both batch and continuous specialty chemical manufacturing units. ISP in one of the world’s premier specialty chemical companies with about 3,000 employees worldwide.

Process Safety Mgmt engineer

Qualified candidates should possess at minimum a four year Safety or Engineering degree as well as have 5 years chemical plant manufacturing or related experience. Responsibilities of this position consist of leading the facility PSM program, including: Management of Change, PHA/HAZOPs, Process Safety Information, training, Operating Procedures and working with the plant Maintenance Dept. on Mechanical Integrity. Position also participates in audits of facility and other ISP facilities and leads action item tracking for PSM and Safety and Health Audits. Position is deeply involved with implementation of the site’s Responsible Care Management System for safety and environmental issues.
