Aon Energy Risk Engineering specializes in safety and risk management consulting services for customers in industries ranging from oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, and manufacturing to food, pharmaceutical and public utilities.

We currently have a career opportunity in our League, TX office for a Risk Analyst-Engineering Consultant.

The position requires a minimum of a BS Degree in Engineering, combined with relevant professional experience in formal safety assessment techniques (or related experience) used to demonstrate facility safety.

Candidates must meet the following requirements, as a minimum:

  • BS Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Safety Engineering and/or related engineering degree
  • Previous safety and risk projects and/or consulting experience
  • Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Safety Audits, Consequence Modeling, Quantitative Risk Analysis, Facility Siting, Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), Process Safety Management (PSM), EPA Risk Management Plan, Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analysis
  • Excellent PC skills using MS Office
  • Outstanding interpersonal and project management skills

In addition, the following skills are highly desirable:

  • Knowledge of phenomenological modeling tools for dispersion, jet/pool fires, Vapor Cloud Explosions (VCEs), etc. (e.g., PHAST – SAFETI computer code)
  • Background in marine operations, refineries, chemical plants and/or offshore platforms
  • Experience in executing and documenting Safety Cases (regulatory or non-regulatory)
  • Ability to assist in preparation of proposals and training materials
  • Experience with specialized engineering-related software (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, Crystal Ball, fault tree/event tree codes, etc.)
