New role for Dr. Camille Peres - Assistant Director, Human Systems Engineering Research

Dr. Camille Peres, Assistant Professor in the department of Environmental and Occupational Health in the School of Public Health at Texas A&M University has been working with the Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Center on industry and student research. She has held the distinction of Faculty Fellow with the Center for some years now and has made a significant impact on the Center’s programs. We are looking forward to continuing these efforts in her new role within the Center of Assistant Director for Human Systems Engineering Research. In this role, she will provide oversight and guidance on all research and collaborative research and all Center activities related to human factors, behavioral safety, safety culture, and human systems engineering

On her appointment to this new role, Dr. Peres stated, “I am extremely excited about this opportunity and I look forward to working with all the Center stakeholders in this new role.” Announcing this appointment, Dr. Sam Mannan, Executive Director of the Center said, “There are many activities and research relationships we have developed with faculty within and outside the TAMU system where we have started important work in the human systems engineering area. I believe Dr. Peres will be able to successfully move these efforts forward to expand on current programs and innovate new areas of knowledge to help academia and industry.”
