Week 3 Lecture Series Speaker

Mr. Howard Elton

Director of Functional Safety 

ProLytX

Howard Elton was born and raised in Houston TX. He was inspired by the Ship Channel to go to UofH and completed a degree in Chemical Engineering. This year he hit 41 years in industry as a process control and automation professional.  Having been mostly on the owner operator side, he has worked in EPC and Integrator roles as well.  Mr. Elton has experience with several process technologies including Offshore O&G – FPSOs, Ethylene, NH3 fertilizer, PVC/VCM  and all verticals – EDG VCM, plus several specialty chemicals like surfactants, and guar gum. Mr. Elton has also worked in pharma and was considered an expert in batch process automation. He has experience in manufacturing including fiberglass insulation and lightweight concrete stone veneers.  He has been exposed to FS in the offshore world and continued there when working in NH3 fertilizer.  Mr. Elton been a TuV certified FS engineer for 8 years and a licensed PE in the State of Texas for 30+ years. Mr. Elton is the Director of functional safety for ProLytX.
